The Company
Trade Republic was founded in Berlin in 2015 and offers low-cost investing in stocks, ETFs and crypto, along with savings accounts. It received a full banking licence from the European Central Bank in December 2023.
In a €1.2 billion secondary share sale completed around the turn of 2026, investors including Founders Fund, Fidelity, GIC and Wellington bought shares at a €12.5 billion valuation, up from €5 billion in 2022. The company says it has been profitable for three years and does not need new capital.
