SambaNova
SambaNova builds reconfigurable dataflow AI chips (RDUs) and full systems for running AI models, sold as racks, on-premises software and a cloud service.
The Company
SambaNova was founded in 2017 and is led by co-founder and CEO Rodrigo Liang. It designs its own AI chips, known as RDUs, and sells complete systems, on-premises software and SambaCloud, with a focus on running AI models quickly and efficiently.
In July 2026 SambaNova completed a $1 billion first close of its Series F at an $11 billion post-money valuation, led by General Atlantic with BlackRock, T. Rowe Price, Intel Capital, Qatar Investment Authority and Vista. It came months after a $350 million-plus raise with an Intel partnership, and alongside a JPMorganChase deployment.
Why It Matters
