Decagon
Decagon provides AI agents that resolve customer-support requests across chat, email and voice.
The Company
Decagon was founded in 2023 by Jesse Zhang and Ashwin Sreenivas. It builds AI agents that answer and resolve customer-support requests for companies including Chime, and competes directly with Sierra.
In January 2026 Decagon raised a $250 million Series D at a $4.5 billion valuation, roughly triple its previous round, with Coatue, Index and a16z among the investors. In March 2026 those investors led an employee tender offer at the same valuation.
Why It Matters
Decagon, alongside Sierra, is a leading test of AI agents replacing customer-support work, and of how many winners that market can support.
