Checkout.com
Checkout.com provides online payment processing, acquiring and fraud tools for large global merchants.
The Company
Checkout.com was founded by Guillaume Pousaz and processes online payments for large merchants around the world. It says it handles more than $1 billion of e-commerce payment volume a day and expected to process over $300 billion in 2025.
At its peak in January 2022 the company was valued at $40 billion. In September 2025 it announced an employee share buyback at a $12 billion valuation, alongside net revenue growth above 30% in its core business and a return to full-year profitability.
Why It Matters
Checkout.com is one of the clearest examples of a 2021-era valuation being reset, and a benchmark for how private payments companies are priced against Adyen and Stripe.
